About PlayLocal

PlayLocal is a service that connects tennis players to public tennis courts and to other similarly skilled players. By taking the guessing out of court availability, we ensure an awesome experience free of waiting in lines, awkwardly wondering which group to request to move or leaving work early just to get your name on a list hours later.

The company was founded by Brent Colson, Andrea Light, Chris Barlow and Anmol Wassan from inspiration gleaned during their Babson College MBA. The company headquarters are located in Massachusetts.

Our Inspiration

The company was born out of a passionate pursuit to improve the overall experience of finding players and scheduling matches on neighborhood courts.

If you ask yourself…How many hours have I wasted waiting to get on a court? How many times have I tried to find someone to play at my own skill level?

If your experience is similar to ours, the answers are, way too many and way too often. So, after years of complaining about these inefficiencies we decided to do something about it.

How it works

Everything about our service is designed to get you on the court quickly. Hop on to our website or one of our mobile apps to:

1. Search for a time and place, and we will provide you a list of courts and players at your own skill level.
2. Book your court ahead of time
3. Show up on the court with your reservation on your mobile phone (or printed out). We partner directly with the cities so the reservation works just like a permit.
4. Enjoy a great (uninterrupted) game!
